It's open enrollment for health insurance next month at my husband's work, and we're wondering if we should switch from our current Kaiser HMO plan to either Blue Shield Access + HMO (15-500) or Blue Shield Spectrum PPO (250 value).
We're planning on TTC our first next year...
Are any of you on one of these health insurance plans? If so, how are your experiences with these plans in terms of prenatal care, birthing, etc.? Cost-wise and quality-wise?
Good/bad experiences with birthing at Petaluma Kaiser, the PVH, or homebirths?
How much do midwives charge around here? Any recommendations?
I know the questions are pretty broad, but I'm completely overwhelmed by the insurance/healthcare systems here, having come from Canada where birthing's free!
