mama pad sources, please

Looks like Jen at Little Lambs in no longer in the mama pad business (couldn't find them on her site)? And I need some! What are your favorites? Quality first, of course, but I'd like some cool fabrics to choose from. Thanks.

I just tried lunapads! They are very pretty, and work well. The only "cons" in my opinion, are that the shape of the insert is pretty narrow, so it isn't as absorbent as I'd like (even with doubles). They worked great for moderate-light days, and are super trim.

I prefer Kristin's Cloth and Liz's Cloth for heavyflow and at night.

Diaperware has samplers of different Wahmama pads, if you wanna try some different things (she has lunapads too).

(I am so proud of myself--this is the first time I have added a link and called it something besides www.blahblahblah.com )

I love Wild Woman Pads from Rebecca at Apron Strings. I don't have a link - sorry. The last time I checked, she was closed to new orders. Having a rough pregnancy. But maybe she is past the rough spot and back to sewing.

I like the soft fleece, and the PUL doesn't feel plasticky.

someone mentioned them. I have the Keeper and love it.

GladRags can be found in your local health food store or co-op(btw, I even found them in Shaw's supermarket in their Wild Harvest section!!!! ). I have 2 of them since I mostly use the keeper but I really like them. They stay in place and don't slide around at night even though I'm a very active sleeper.

Have you tried sewing your own? It's very simple to do. I'm QUITE the novice sewer(just started a few months ago and have no time for it) and I made a few of my own(3) and I think they came out okay. I modeled mine after the GladRags I own.

I have one of Kristen's pads on its way from here, so I'll let you know how I like it. I bought a GladRag from the local coop and it was okay. The material wasn't the most comfortable (although tons better than disposable pads). I figured that there are better pads out there and for roughly the same price ($7.99 for one). Let me put it this way, I won't be outfitting myself in GladRags.

Of course, since I'm nursing hopefully I won't have to worry about it for several months, but I keep forgetting to take the Mini-Pill so I keep spotting.

ETA: If you have even a basic knowledge of sewing they would be super easy to make. That's kind of why I bought the GladRag, so I could pattern one off of it.
