New holistic/natural family living group in metro Detroit!
The Metro Detroit chapter of the Holistic Moms Network is a non-profit group dedicated to supporting families in their pursuit of natural health and mindful parenting. The chapter meets the first Thursday of the month at the Plymouth District Library from 9:45-11:45am. In addition to monthly meetings, the HMN will be offering playgroups, a lending library, family activities, mom’s nights out, and other holistic activities. Children are welcome at the meetings, although childcare is not provided. : I joined HMN a few weeks ago. There is also a local email group you get access to if you sign up, but that's not been active at all yet.
we had an open house for the chapter earlier this month, and all the chairs were set up in a circle, and my two year old spent practically the whole meeting rolling around in the middle of the circle, singing her ABCs, and playing with my sling.
There was a nice little play area set up for the kids with toys but Charlotte just had to be the center of attention. There were other toddlers there sitting quietly in their parents' arms, I was so embarrassed! Maybe our DCs can entertain each other at the meeting!)
