Thursday Daily Thread...

Well, I had some good stuff happen last night, but it never got more intense so we went to bed around midnight. Right before bed, the baby's head was pushing down down down really hard and it really hurt. So i had to lay down to get some relief. Then I slept all night, I was hoping to wake up with some progress. But no. Today is my husband's bday and he's staying home so we are going to walk down to our breakfast place, and go for a walk somewhere pretty today.

I'm still here! I was just thinking about starting this thread.

My sister is coming up today, and we are going to walk walk walk and search the town for some rrl tea. The library also sent me email saying they have a copy of The Business of Being Born reserved for me - I was #20 on the waiting list.

Still no signs.

Still here...not overdue until Saturday.
Well, actually....per u/s today is due date. Per LMP, Saturday.

Lots of cntx yesterday/last night..then stopped. Little bit of pink tinge in undies...but really faint...and, that has happened before.

Trying to stay busy today. I want to mow the lawn but hubby wont allow it. I told him I am trying to get labor going. He said our elderly, old fashioned neighbors would have his head if they saw me mowing our lawn with a push mower!! He would be the talk of the town...so funny.

Still here too... 41+1 today.
Having terrible cramps every morning.

Getting really antsy, I really want to go buy a photo album for the baby today, but I dont want to venture so far away from home on the bus with 2 kids as my labors progress very quickly and I wouldnt want to be stuck at chapters, in labor, trying to keep track of my kids and waiting for dh to pick me up. That would suck. yep.

yep, me too. 40wks 6days.

went for too long of a walk last night w/DH and started getting muscle back spasms. my heated rice socks are helping but it's pretty painful.....not smart of me. ......DH and I haven't had a TV for years and my parents recently gave us a free one. now i'm stuck on couch with my warm rice socks watching my 97th episode of what not to wear........so strange.

I'd better go tonight or tomorrow! My parents, in-laws, and hubby are all on their days off and in town from far away so it's time! I am super excited though for an appointment I made tomorrow morning, so I hope baby waits until after that lol. I have extremely thick hair and don't trust anyone to cut it. Today I saw someone with the most beautiful haircut and found out who she had cut it and so tomorrow I have an appointment with that hairstylist! I would love to have my hair done(and feel pretty!), but if I have to cancel because I have a newborn that's ok too

I'm having contractions on and off, but nothing very painful. My kiddos got home from school and were disappointed there was no baby yet... All I could say was I know tell me about it!

Everyone please send me baby waves for around 1130am tomorrow just after my hair appointment LOL If labor doesn't seem like it's coming dh has promised we'll go walk at IKEA and I would really like to avoid that lol

where's betty cracker?

Hmmm... who else. Isra?

Walked all over the mall. Not the pretty place i wanted, but it is 105 here today so , whatever. Came home, DTD and now I'm making some oregeno and basil tea, huffing clary sage, drinking iced RRL thinking about another enema. I feel desperate.

Living for god, I'm 42 weeks on sat. You sound so relaxed, I am jealous.

Oregano and Basil tea??? Is that supposed to help get things moving?

The labor inducing eggplant parm recipe that's been floating around lately supposedly works because of the oregano and basil in it. I'm just lazy, don't want to cook and figured this might work instead. Actually, i'm just eating the basil fresh and drinking the oregano tea.

I did eat a bunch of oregano and basil yesterday for lunch and had cntx last night so, it's worth a shot.

Well, when I was 40+3 I had the eggplant parm straight from the source, Scallini's in Atlanta. It did nothing for me. My husband and I were really hopeful, especially when we found out that if I had the baby within 48 hours we would get a free baby t-shirt, a gift certificate, and baby's picture on the wall of the restaurant!

Alas, I am still here. I carefully reviewed my charts from the month we conceived and as a result my midwife and I moved my due date back 4 days to the 20th. This buys me some time before I have to worry about induction.

Oh, lizzylou, I was thinking about you, because we had the same EDD and we are both still here. I have a positive pregnancy test from the 9th of Dec. so counting back 14 days only buys me like an extra day and makes my EDD 8/17. Not much help. I'm glad you got yours moved up. Are you doing NST's? I haven't yet, but I'm calling my midwife and asking her for one tomorrow if nothing has happened yet.
Yes, I have already had two NSTs. Probably didn't need the first one since we moved the date up. I'm going to do another one tomorrow, and hopefully that will be the last one! I don't mind doing them, I find it very reassuring.

I made the eggplant two nights ago so I've got about 24 more minutes before my 48 hours are up . . . let me tell you ladies things are NOT looking hopeful

Anyway, had an NST today and everything is great. Always good to hear! Like some of the other mommies I am getting very, very, antsy. Maybe all of our babies are waiting for LABOR day weekend! Hee hee.

Had a dr appt today I'm 2cm and 80% effaced, lots of contractions but not regular and they stop when I rest. DH is coming back in town tomorrow so I'm planning a lot of walking and after that a hot relaxing bath. I told her tomorrow would be perfect we'll see if she agrees

I'm very anxious to get labor going before DH has to leave town again next tues, but still trying to stay relaxed as much as possible. I'm reading all the posts to get advice, take care ladies!
