Doylestown Midwifery

Ok, so since Midwifery Traditions was full, now I have a consult at Doylestown

Reviews???? My consult is with Joann Ruth.

I used them for all three of mine and would be happy to answer specific questions by PM.

I liked most that all the mw's had different personalities and strengths. I used a doula for my last two births and that helped with some of the things that I gave up by not pursuing other mw options or a homebirth.

Based on my experience with them & others who have shared theirs with me, I would not recommend them. Feel free to PM me for more details.

Nevermind.

I just found out I am pregnant with my first and was considering contacting Dtown Midwifery. What did you mean by "nevermind"? Were you confused with another practice or do you still not recommend them?

Thanks!

I have no idea what I had planned to say 5 months ago.

But no, I still do not recommend them. In fact, the original midwife of Doylestown Midwifery, Ann Lynn Jaspen, has retired. She was the midwife I'd wanted at my birth when I used them but did not get. It was my feeling that she was more natural minded & would have respected my wishes. The other midwife who had been there for the long haul & was there when my baby was born was much quicker to augment labor than I had wanted (I wanted no medically unnecessary interventions but that is not what I got).

Feel free to PM me for more info. Or you can search the forum for more from a variety of MDC'ers.

I would not recommend them but I agree with Sus, you should do a search on the forum for more detailed posts about this practice.
