Are there any existing playgroups for these areas? I'm in Lilburn, just moved a month ago. I've found a lot of parks nearby but I haven't found any likeminded mamas yet.

My kids are 10 months and 3 years.

Hi Liz! I don't know of any groups offhand around here myself but your post caught my attention because I'd love to get involved with one, too. I'm in Tucker and expecting my first baby by the end of next month. It would be great to meet some like-minded women to help me through this new journey we'll be embracing.

Welcome to the area, btw! We've lived her for almost a year now and enjoy it!

Playgroup

I moved from Sandy Springs, been in ATL since 1984.

I'd be happy to host a playgroup list.

Hi Ladies,
I'd be up for a playgroup during the week... My times are somewhat restricted though, I could probably only make it between 9-11 due to little one's nap.

i just moved to Tucker and we haven't don't have any friends yet. DH usually takes the car but if i have a days notice i can meetup with you all.

Time/date suggestion

How about a Tuesday morning between 9 and 11am?

I don't know the Tucker area so can't make any suggestions. There's always Stone Mountain Park or the Mountain Park Park (what a name).

looks like i had a brain fart mid sentence on my last post

i'm game for next Tuesday but can't spare a dime right now. does it cost anything to get into Stone Mountain Park? DH works just past the park so it's right on our way.

yeah SMP is $8 per entrance or $35 for a yearly pass (I got DH a pass for our anniversary).

LMK if you can think of something closer to you and/or free.

i don't think i'll have $8 to get in but things may change by Tuesday(selling stuff on Craigslist). we moved here a month ago and haven't explored much outside of our neighborhood. does anyone have any suggestion for nearby parks?

If your spouse works just past SMP, you can get off at the Park Place exit, then go left then left again onto Rockbridge, right onto Pounds and Mountain Park is on your right a couple miles.

If you google the Mountain Park library, the actual park is literally on adjacent dirt. Maybe that helps? Otherwise, I don't know.
