Fort Myers, Fl playday?

Hi Families,

It's been a while since I seen a playdate in SW Fl and I could use some support since I will be doing my first HB in Dec/Jan!!!:

I have a 3.5year old DS and would love to get together and hang out with some families who believe in natural parenting! A local park would be great.

Let me know and we can set up a date? A saturday afternoon maybe? Anybody interested?

Well, I guess we can reply again now, so anyone that PM'd me please speak up and we can set the date.

I was at the new Lakes Park today and there was not much shade around which was disappointing. $400K and no shade trees near the park? Humm...not good when your preggo!

Maybe theres another park someone thinks would be better?

Hi Nicole Yesterday, I was at Lakes Park w/my family too. We were sitting under the shaded trees by the playground at a picnic table with two friends and our 3 sons (maybe you saw us?) We were fishing in the water and grilling out. Was too hot to be outside yesterday unless in the sprinklers or swimming I think! The shaded trees helped. The cooler weather is coming up - looking forward to it.

Besides the Cape Coral parks, I'm no help in suggesting a Ft Myers park besides Lakes. There is a shaded playground in the Cape that I know of. We (AP moms) started getting together there in the evenings when the sun wasn't so hot, but I haven't made it in a few weeks.

Maybe someone else has a Ft Myers idea for you. I hope!

Oh, Id be willing to drive to cape to hang out with AP moms, that's not far for me.

I love lakes, I just wish they had some decent shade near the playground. Three oaks has awesome shade but the parks pretty ratty. They are suppose to be doing a new one there too though I believe.

Could you let me know the Cape meet-ups? Are they posted on here?

Egh, I probably wouldn't be going EVERY week, but once a month or so.

Hey, Us AP moms are few and far between!:

True

There is an AP meetup group. They are based in Estero and do stuff down that way. They go to Lakes Park, but they do other things too.

Are they through "meetup.com"? I never even thought to look there.

Yeh, Estero is really close to me. That would be great with gas prices and all.
