what is the circ rate in New York?

I bet HIGH. Thats all I know. I am from NYC, and there is a lot of Jewish cultural influence in the city. For the most part I think thats great because I love Jewish culture and its comforting to me (even though I am not Jewish). Of course my BIG exception is when it comes to circumcision.

Well we did not even need to look at this study to prove that circ is not very effective against HIV, the statistics of the world prove that easyily too.

I just dont know how people avoid this obvious data.

Actually the highest infection rate is amoung minority gay males. Hispanics dont typically circ unless they were born here.

I don't agree with circ as a cure at all but the procircs will use this to further their cause because it's minorities and most likely intact.

Whites (most likely circ'd) had the smallest percentage.

Those pro-circs, if they have any scientific understanding, will have to normalize for circ status, socioeconomic status, etc., etc., etc. and then compare data. Otherwise, they're blowing smoke (which they do!).

Except that no matter how they looked at it, circumcision does not appear to have any impact on HIV uptake in gay males.

Which totally makes sense, since having unprotected sex with an HIV+ partner is eventually going to lead to infection, foreskin or no.
