Saturday Postpartum- 8/30

I wish I could start working on my abs but with my c-sec, I can't jsut yet. I'll be hitting 4 wks PP next week. Last night I tried to do leg lifts and my incision started to hurt. That was my cue to just do squats and work my upper body.

Next week I plan to stick to the diet plan. No sense in letting myself go and I return to work next month.

DP's parents arrived today from MS so they'll be spending the evening and most of the day here with me. His dad is going tohelp him move tomorrow so he should be good. I guess his mom and I will hang out with the baby. Maybe go to a local shopping center and just browse and do some walking. Speaking of walking, its such a beautiful day out (but hot as Hades!).

Kendall has only popped once in the past 36 hours. I'm getting a little worried but based on other threads, this is pretty normal. He had a small BM at 4am but that was it. What are probiotics and where can I get them?

I have turned a trick to quiet Kendall down: turn on a Baby Einstein cd and let him listen. Man! he gets so calm and just kicks back. I love it!

I have been playing a lullaby cd for Roberto Carlos and he sleeps better when I do!

Probiotics are friendly bacteria. The ones that colonizes our gut and intestines, then help with digestion and help to kick out the bad bugs out of our system! You can get them at a Health Food Store like Whole Foods. I get the Narrow brand ones (with FOS - this multiplies the bacteria), they come in capsules and I just pour a bit into my breast or into his mouth directly. A baby needs them because babies are born with no flora at all, some are exposed to existing bacteria in the vagina when they are born vaginally.

OMG...the baby POPPED!!!! GET HELP NOW.......ok seriously you made my day: Yeah, I know what you meant. Mr J only popps maybe one time a day.....it is Tamara who is the one who popps 2 times a day......sometimes I wish noone would popp at all.
Had a bad fight with hubby and he told me he was only staying because of the kids (how nice).....so I was in bad, sad mood and even have been snapping at poor Tamara so thank you for cheering me up
I have company coming later today so I have to try to clean but it is going to be hard with mr J....here he goes crying again...feed time lol
His cries have changed I noticed...at first they were like "someone please help me...I am a helpless lonely baby" and now they have changed to "FEED ME Seymour!!!!" lol

Happy birthday to me!

I spent all week working on projects that I didn't do before the baby came, and am taking a day just to rest and do whatever I feel like.

I don't consider dd noisy, but she's definitely chatty and grunty most of the time. Actually it feels pretty quiet since ds was kind of a screamer.

I have very grunty babies and Amelia is no exception. It's cute except in the middle of the night when it wakes me up, I think she needs to eat so try to feed her, but then discover that she's still sleeping

That is awesome, I just now purchased the keychain for my midwife. Thanks for the link!

I got the alder box for my midwife as well. I LOVE it!! Such a beautiful gift and very high quality as well!

Just a beautiful thank you gift I also bought her a bracelet with all 12 birthstones(one of those slide charm bracelets) and told her it was one stone for every month that she helped bring babies into the world. She started crying!

She told me that her dream is to have a photo of her in a flowing goddess type gown with her hair and makeup all done and all the babies and children she helped deliver playing around her while she reclines in a lounger...I would SO love to make that happen for her..I wonder how I would go about it!

DP's folks, well his mom, spent the entire afternoon here at my house holding Kendall. She is absolutely in love with her new grandson. And he smiled for the first time and it was for her. I was bit hurt but that's ok. We all went out to dinner and came back to chill for a while. DP and his father are moving his furniture tomorrow to his new apartment, while his mother and I go to Babies R Us.

Enith, thanks so much for that no white diet tips. I remembered them while we were out to dinner tonight and eat really healthy.

Kendall is reacting more to my voice. Whenever he hears me, he starts looking for me. My two sorority sisters are coming to visit tomorrow so I guess I'll have a house full again. That's ok.

I plan to start doing some cardio videos on Tuesday to jump start this weight loss thing. I honestly need a scale more than anything. I'll have to steal one from my mom's house. LOL

Shiloh I had one of those aquariums and my girls loved it! Too bad I got rid off it after baby #2

Monique glad you did good when going out to eat, I did horrible last night We normally buy a 'Diet Pizza' when we want to eat some pizza (a place that sells whole wheat pizza with low fat cheese) but Pizza Hut is having a good promo $5 per pizza if you order 3 of them, so we did those instead... Today, I been a good girl though! We just finished our huge salad...
