Nesting

Man oh man! So with my other children I would nest towards the very end of my pregnancy. I feel like with this one I have been wanting to get everything ready since the first trimester! I can't wait to get everything put together in the baby's room and have everything done!!

Besides I'm going through that with pretty much the whole house. I want everything in order and when it doesn't happen I get all stressed out about it.

Anyone else feeling crazy nesting yet?
Anyone feel ready already?

Um, I got a blacklight and scrubbed hidden pet stains out of the carpet for two nights in a row last week.

Then I insisted on mopping the kitchen at midnight a couple nights later.

I normally *don't* clean. So yeah, definitely nesting.

As for feeling ready - HA, HA, HA!

LOL!!!!

gwerydd, I would have been sooo freakin frustrated waiting for my dh to do all the things I've thought of haha, but at least you're able to do stuff this time around! I've been thinking about switching some rooms around but *sigh* I dunno haha

we've been nesting since about June! We have a tiny NYC apartment (no baby's room) but we've completely redone our apartment. There's still more that I'd like to get done in the next month or so, but I am actually afraid for what nesting will look like come December, hehe. And I really mean "we"--DH has been worse than I have!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I am dying over here. I've even busted out my old "flylady" book to get some more decluttering ideas. Unfortunately, I have some WAHM stuff I need to get done before I can go full force into my madness. I'm so excited to get things done. I actually called dh today on his way to work and told him to pick up a new toilet seat...ya know, 'cause we need one right now.

Yes and it's a drag. I can't get anything to STAY clean, it ends up a mess 5 minutes after: A little help please!!!!

I feel more of a push to get it all done too because this is our first year of homeschooling and I want a well organized, uncluttered home. Fat chance for that!!

Time is flying this pregnancy and I feel like before we know it it will be time to birth my baby and I like to be prepared.

I went crazy nesty a few weeks ago. I'm feeling a little better, but defeated at the same time--by exhaustion. I just want to jump ship on the house and start over (lol, we actually DID that with Lilly).

I waited with both of my last 2 pregnancies to start nesting, but I never did. I really wish I would, though. :

it is so funny to see this post today, because yesterday, my husband and i rearranged the entire house, moved out old furniture, cleaned under everything...and i was thinking, isn't it a little early to begin the nesting phase of the pregnancy? but i guess it is never too early for that.

Does wondering around Lowes and Home Depot buying a dishwasher(I've had to hand wash for 2 years), new interior doors, front storm door and back screen doors, along with a new vanity and medicine cabinet for our future bath remodel count?

We bought a trashed HUD home with lots of potential 2 years ago and have been working on fixing it up a bit at a time out of pocket. It has been slow doing over the last year. I sold my motorcycle a few weeks ago, not like I'm gonna be riding any time soon with a newborn now and another on the way, and used 2/3 of the proceeds to purchase the above items.

Hubby and stepson are working on installing the interior doors now. My mom is coming for a visit in less than two weeks to see the new little one and it will be so nice to show her matching new doors and some new trim in the public areas.

Since I am personally on restrictions I WANT to do more but everything gets put off in taking care of myself and M.

We are moving in six days and I am doing the same thing. Pretty much anything that I don't feel like packing is going in our "to-donate" pile. Plus, we are moving into a temporary rental so most of it probably won't get unpacked until we figure out where we are really going to live. So, hopefully I won't have too much nesting to do once we are there. I don't mind washing baby clothes and organizing my cloth diaper stash, but I really don't want to feel the need to totally scrub the house every other day like I did with DS!

I sooo want to nest... but am having trouble finding the energy! And so the house is a wreck in half projects and I'm all kinds of anxious to get it all done, then get overwhelmed with how much is left to do! lol
