Help quick tetanus

I need a refesher and some calming vibes. My two and half year-old just cut himself pretty deep on the corner of the dresser. He needs stiches and I am getting ready to take him. I am worried because he did not bleed much. In fact, I thought originally the dresser just scraped the top layer of skin off, but upon further investigation, the cut is pretty deep.

He has not had any shots at this point, so him getting a tetanus shot will not help him, correct?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am not thrilled with the immunoglobin. I am thinking he bleed enough. He went through two big band aids and a papertowel.
