ok my sons finger looked for a few days as if he had mashed it in a door , now it is looking more like fungus, eww. plus another previously not affected nail is getting a spot of the same type of thing. i have some tea tree oil, i use it for diapers, and various other things. would it be wise to put some onhis nails to see if the condition improves? he starts school tuesday, i hope we can figure it out by then. any tips would be greatly appreciated. i don't want to go to the doctor and have him take a heavy medication if i can get rid of it with something i already have .

I agree, tea tree is wonderful stuff. Lavendar is good for a good many things, as well.

Fresh garlic taken internally is also seriously antifungal, as is a garlic infused oil. Good luck!
