Sunday postpartum thread.....

I thought I would start one since I didnt see one here yet.....and my friend was kind enough to take dd1 and dd2 off my hand for awhile.

I am having a horrible horrible day. I posted in the GD column about losing it with dd1. I wont repeat it here but suffice to say that I feel like a UAV of a mother.....
Mr J is finally sleeping a bit while the kids are out of the house. I was going to clean but I think I really, really, really need time to myself to stay sane so I am typing here and going to have a cup of international coffee (crap but it is truly one of those days). I just dont feel like eating and have lost my appetite. Maybe just a piece of chocolate.
Mr. J has only been able to rest 5 minutes at a time away from me because of the kids so I am getting nothing done here. Tamara managed to fall down the stairs somehow but is thankfully ok except for a nasty bruise. Lets not even mention Yasmeen...after today she is going to want a new mother I am sure.....
I better stop typing...am about to cry here....again. Maybe it is hormones but it is no excuse what happened with dd1 at all.
God, I hope you guys are having a great day and that is the reason you are not here.

*huggles* I hope you have a better day. It sounds like you are completely exhausted. I know it's hard getting rest with a houseful of kids, we have three, but try your best. My husband will take #3 at night and feed her so I can get a good night's sleep - and will often take the girls on the weekends so I get a nap. I hope you have someone who will do that for you, too.

omg Veronica so sorry you are going through this, it must be hard I can't imagine!!! Have you tried Herbs for Kids? Probably giving that to the kids before going to bed will help you rest more? I gave my oldest these when dd#2 was a baby, it was a God sent. My oldest now is older and my little one is not as active (or moody ) as my first so I haven't had the need to buy it this time around... When they get those major temper tantrums try those herbs as well. I know other moms use Rescue Remedy but since the herbs are more economical that's what I have always used and worked fine

Yay! I can finally post here legitimately. :::

I need to post my birth story still. Little Wip was born Thursday evening, vie c-section - with a true knot in his cord. Came home from the hospital today and I already had milk starting to come in last night. The little guy worked his butt off getting that milk going. He is determined not to be a little guy (he was 6 lbs 12 oz and 18 1/2 in). He nurses like you wouldn't believe and is already done with meconium diapers.

Yay-welcome Bettie! I wondered where you'd been
Go Wip go!

R&E-I'll have to try out the Herbs for Kids, thanks for the suggestion. E is so spun-you're not alone, Veronicalynne... MIL leaves on Tuesday and I am crapping myself--she's been so helpful with DD. I have a couple of days alone with DD/DS this week, and I am pretty nervous!
