I'm not sure where to post this so I'm posting here and x-posting in WAHM Well. I work at home about 7-10 hours per week and I have a mother's helper come 2-3 times per week for about 2.5 hours each time to play with DD (24 months old) while I work. That worked out great this summer, but the helper I had has gone back to school and doesn't have time to do it anymore so I had to find a new person. I think the new person is really good, but DD is having a hard time adjusting. She starts crying for me about every 15 minutes--any time she is frustrated, needs help with something, transitions between activities, etc. So, obviously I am not getting any work done and on top of it I am feeling guilty for not giving her my full attention. The new person has only come about 3 times so far, so I think DD may get used to her with a little more time, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to help DD adjust and feel more comfortable. Thanks!
