The dingos thread is a thread for women (or men!) who either run or desire to run/jog/move in the forward direction. We include members ranging from those just working up to running a mile to those that run marathons or further.

And we recommend wearing running shoes just to keep up with the chat!

I'm also here. Waiting for it to cool off a little before I start my yoga, which I am guessing I'll do late this evening.

Did I mention to you all that I'm taking a class this semester? I'm just auditing and I thought it was a good idea (Human Impact on the Environment sounds like something I should know more about), but now I'm getting nervous. It starts tomorrow!

Hello, I'm here.
taking the kids camping this week with the local home-school group. Should be fun. DH couldn't get the time off... so it's just me and the kids. My brother and his wife will be at the same camp ground though, so they can help if I need it. I'm both very excited, and a little terrified at the same time. I still can't quite believe I got myself into this . We were supposed to leave this morning, but decided to delay a day due to rain... I can handle camping in the rain, but setting up in the rain is just a little too much.
I'll be off line for a few days. See you all when I get back.

VeganCupcake, is that your due date I see, tomorrow?!?!? Any action yet?

I went to the Y and swam 1500m this morning. The pool was jam packed with at least 2 people in every lane and others waiting on the deck. No one wants to circle swim there, for some reason. After swimming I met DH and the kids at the lake where we had the best afternoon . I can't believe it was the first time I went to the lake all summer long. It's only 5 miles away and so much fun.

TMI time ~ I'm still having major hemorroidal issues, in spite of epsom salt baths, PrepH cream, cortisone/lidocane cream, and witch hazel wipes. The thing is a monster !

JayGee - Hopefully it heals soon. I release all that is unlike love. There is time and space for everything I want to do.

I'm sure I will like class once it gets going. I just need to get out of my head and enjoy the anticipation of the first day once again. I can't believe I started my college career at the same place SEVEN years ago!

Off to start my yoga dvd.

JayGee, what helps me is 10-15 minute warm sitz baths (I just run a little water in the tub, sometimes sit on a towel if it hurts to sit on the bottom of the tub). I try to do them 3-4 times a day. I have been known to eat my breakfast while doing this. : It seems to help though!

We had a great cookout at MB's house tonight.. complete with husbands, kids and my mom and grandmother who are here from New Orleans. Thanks MB for having us over!!! :

Any pics??

We celebrated the "last" day of summer by going to the pool with some friends. Then had an impromtu dinner eating al fresco with said friends. Was nice. Got the kids to bed a little late considering tomorrow is their first day of school. I have a 1st grader and a kindergartner! It find it so weird that my kids are two years apart in age, almost exactly, but will be one year apart in school.

I still have not run in preparation for my 4m.

Have you considered homeopathic remedies? Hamemillis (?) is made from witch hazel, but homeopathic act on a different level than the stuff you've tried so far. I had a couple of moms use the charcoal and homeopathic ointment even during pregnancy and it completely shrank them with no return. There is also a line of suppositories and tablets that have a combination of remedies, the line is Avecnoc, or something like that.
