what day you'd go into labor?

Or do you like the surprise?

YES!

I am not a very patient person, and the waiting and wondering drive me crazy. So if I could know she was going to come on 9/10 for example, and that it would be completely natural, then yes, I would love to know.

Yeah I agree. I am going crazy waiting and hoping. If I could know it was tomorrow or in a week then at least I could relax and be prepared for that day.

I like not knowing when it's going to be. I love the feeling of finally knowing "this is IT...we're having a BABY!" There's nothing else like it. I can't imagine scheduling it and missing that feeling.

Oh yes... I'd love to be able to plan everything. The suspense is killing me! lol. It's kinda fun in a way though.

I have mixed feelings! On the one hand, I want to know but on the other hand, I like the element of surprise.
hehehe! I can't believe our babies are coming!

I answered "absolutely" but if I were saying it in my words I would say "HELL YES!! I would want to know"
I don't really like surprises even though this is the best kind. I just like to be prepared

Lol. I'm the same way, usually. I HATE suprises, so much so that they give me sweaty palms and such. I would rather know what I'm getting for Christmas and then wait to get it than be suprised!

BUT
This is one of those things I prefer to wait and be suprised. I'm kinda hoping I get to call DH at work this time and tell his boss to get him, cause I'm HAVING A BABY!!! lol.... maybe watching too many movies? lol

Yes! I drive myself (and the midwives) crazy with thinking "Is this it?" No. "Is this it?" No "Is this it?" No "This isn't it, I refuse to leave the house." Um, yes, this is for real, come in. With DD, DH literally drug me to the birthing center kicking and screaming that I wasn't in labor when I finally hit active labor after two weeks of prodromal labor.

I posted No -- but the real answer I would love love love isn't there. I do like the element of suprise (in this case only) but it would be cool to have like a 7-10 day window? S/he will be here between these dates/times..... Would that be asking too much? lol?

Yep, it's too much to ask. It's kinda like when TTC...I want an IMMEDIATE pregnancy test...can't wait 2w, but we have to. Along those lines, maybe someday there will be labor predictor tests that we can pee on every day toward the end?

Now there's a cash cow just standing around the field all engorged, mooing and waiting to be milked!!

I want to know because it would really suck if my mom flew back home before it happened. If we could have planned her plane ticket around an actual date instead of a guess date, that would be nice! If it weren't for that, I wouldn't care.

I am exactly like fairydoula when it comes to suprises - I cannot stand them! I would absolutely love to know the day the baby would be born - the day/time I went into labor would still be a suprise. LOL!

Oh, yes, I am a very organized detailed person, so waiting for the unknown is enough to drive me crazy.

At this point, I'd love to know. I've been spotting and wish I knew if it is the sign that labor is on the way or something to be concerned about or what.

I voted no bc I would rather be surprised. I actually love surprises (obviously since we don't know if this little bean is a boy or a girl). Plus, I think my planning would get in the way of the experience (for me anyway).

I am really enjoying these last 2 or 3 wks and am in no hurry to get this baby out.

I voted YES! Although I do like surprises at times I would like to know...or at least a 5 day window. But, we weren't created with a planner like that so here we all wait....la la la.

I voted "absolutely," but only because I want to make sure my mom is here to care for my daughter while I'm in labor and to help out after. Unfortunately, she lives 500 miles away. She has a ticket to come down a week ahead of my EDD, and will be able to say for several weeks so I hope I don't go too early...or too late. If she still lived close by, I wouldn't want to know.

No way! I think that's part of the excitement and anticipation. Though, like a pp said, some days I wouldn't mind maybe having a window of time in which I knew the baby would come -- like, between the 15th and 25th or something like that.
