My baby legging pattern SUCKS! share yours??

Im new to knitting and followed the pattern EXACTLY, and that was my downfall as my dh pointed out when he showed me I was messing up errrr.

I would love a pattern for a newborn( the one i have is 0-6 months and would NEVER fit a newborn and doesnt fit my 6 month old cousin!!), I would also like to do a few pairs for holiday presents
