Got a nice little crate made of wood (thrift store) and would like to re-paint it. My sis says, she just paints over it. BUT I want it white (and paint flowers on top), so I thought a primer would be good.

So, would you use a primer, if so, what kind? My sis swears on acrylics, what would you use?

Of course, I will sand it down first...

Sorry, I just saw some really nice stuff at my cousins and now I want to duplicate her ideas... First time...
