I just started packing it today (36 weeks, 6 days)
I am packing:
large gown for laboring/birthing
button up gown (for easier nursing, the hospital gowns I had to take the whole sleeve down every time)
nursing bra + a few breast pads (in case my milk comes in while I am there)
extra batteries for my camera
list of people to call w/numbers
SOCKS! OMG my feet were cold when DS was born
a pair of yoga pants, a nursing cami, and a hoodie to wear home
flat shoes to wear home
extra underwear (they gave me mesh ones to wear in the hospital, but I want to wear my regular ones home)
Lansinoh
going home outfit and hat for baby (w/socks)
I think that's it!
*ETA*
How could I forget toiletries???
Toothbrush and paste
hairbrush and hair ties
deodorant
some light make up
Gotta look good for those pictures! lol

I packed mine last week - 35 weeks. I had a friend recently who had her baby just before 35 weeks so I was inspired to get packed.
The hospital I'm going to gave us a list of recommended items so I went with things they recommended: button up nightgown, robe, slippers, extra panties and socks, toiletry items (such as shampoo, deodorant, chapstick, lotion), clothes for the baby to come home in and a blanket for him. I threw in a few things for my hubby today - tee shirt, undershirt, underwear, shorts (to sleep in) and some socks.
I haven't packed anything for during labor and thinking I probably should think more about that....

I haven't packed my own bag yet; only my baby's. So far, I packed baby body wash, shampoo and lotion in case I want to bathe her. Comfortable long sleeve cotton onesies, sock, caps, little mittens, two layettes, a little sweater, blanket, diapers, wipes, and butt creams (I heard it's easier to get the meconium off her butt with a coat of butt cream or olive oil applied at diaper changes). For myself, flip flops, underwear, makeup, shampoo, body wash, my oversized white tshirts, nipple cream, hair bands to put up my hair, and sweat pants. I still haven't gotten any nursing tanks or bras. I suppose I ought to do that. My regular bras might not fit me! DH is in charge of the electronics. I'm sure he'll bring his laptop with internet card so he can email pics to everyone, some movies, change of clothes, etc.
I'm glad I read this post because I haven't given much thought to the breastfeeding wardrobe! I guess I need to go to Motherhood to see what they have!

Still hoping for my HB and that I won't need a bag, but just realized I should probably pack one just in case. Thanks for all the ideas ladies! Hubby would have been running back home for a bunch of stuff.

With #1 I packed 6 weeks early. She ended up being 2 weeks late.
I packed for this one over the weekend. It's not entirely done, but pretty much.
With #1, I had to pack separate bags for labor and after - because you labored/delivered in one room and recovered in another.
With this baby, everything is in one room (yeah) so packing is easier.
I'm bringing -
my own nightgowns
slippers
pillow
nursing pillow
huge bra (guessing as to size) and nursing pads
my own pads
1 set of clothes to wear home (big and baggy)
several pairs of socks
Change of clothes for husband - last time his clothes got wet (when water broke).
Swim trunks so DH can get into shower with me to rub my back
relaxing CDs
For Baby - going home outfit, a few diapers and wipes, blanket, carseat
Present from Baby to my Daughter
My daughter's Big Sister T-shirt
Lamaze info
Cell phone and CHARGER (forgot that last time)
Change for vending machine
Snacks and water for DH
tennis balls in sock
Lavender sache pillow
Massage lotion in the scent I like
Camera with extra batteries
Toiletries - my own towel (the hospital ones are tiny and rough) plus travel size toothpaste, brush, deoderant and shampoo stuff

I'm thinking of packing my bag in the next couple days. I will be 39 wks on Thurs. and have gone late with my other two.
I'm with Montse on the olive oil wipes. Just take some pre-made in a zip baggie. It worked so well w/dd. That's usually my one tip I give my friends who are prego.

Val - that's a fabulous list - thank you for sharing!
The olive oil wipes ... how exactly do you go about making them? How far ahead can they be made/stored?
