Do BHs get stronger with 2nd pregnancy and beyond?

My BHs are stronger this pregnancy. I am almost 37wks and I feel them a lot more than I even did with 2 days of prodromal labor in my last pregnancy. In my last pregnancy I could barely tell I was having a contraction without concentrating and feeling my stomach. I didn't really feel much of anything or any discomfort until I was in transition. My BHs right the past 2 days have been more noticeable and sometimes I feel slightly crampy with them, which I also never felt before.

I have noticed them being much more frequent and stronger this pregnancy (#2), so you are not alone!

For me most definitely yes. They are so incredibly strong with this pregnancy.

I went to 41+ weeks with DD1 without a single BH or contraction, then induced and had C-section. Had back labour, but still without decent feeling contractions in the front.

this time i've had BH, "tightenings", whatever you want to call them, a few times a day for the past several months.

It's interesting that my cervix was 100% hard, tightly closed and not effaced when I was induced the first time. I'm 40 weeks now and 3-4 cm dilated and soft (but also taking EPO), but baby still high. Those BH must be doing something this time around!!!

Definitely for me, I started having them way earlier this time too.

I've definitely had more frequent and intense BH this time than with DD. Sometimes I have to stop walking and breathe gently for a few seconds when they happen.

I too am having stronger and much more frequent BH contractions this time. They started pretty early too, maybe 30 or so weeks. For the past week or so, I've been feeling slightly crampy with them as well, and I never had that with my first until I was in full out labor. I'm hoping my body is just getting prepared but doesn't jump the gun either.

Emily's Mama, I could have written your post! Been having *much* more frequent & strong contractions which started earlier this time around. I'm only 36 weeks but 1-2 cm and soft, which didn't happen at all before. I say "bring it on!". The more I get done now, the less I gotta do later.
