I'm going to try. Literally scrounging dimes at this point, which is kind of embarrassing. But we'll see. Ugh. I'm so frustrated right now.

Well, in that case, I think I will actually make the effort!

Let's just say nothing about the trip was good enough for Todd and he complained and yelled at everyone the entire time. The final straw was when we arrived at the aquarium with only 40 minutes because we thought it closed at 6. Nope. Closes at 5, and he freaked out, and wanted to go home. We had told Lily we would visit another beach, but that didn't happen because he was too upset.

I drove us home from Newport via Corvallis, then went grocery shopping when I got back. Pretty tired now. He threw the grocery money at me because he didn't want me to go then, but we needed stuff. Turns out he didn't want to watch the girls for that time.

Just... very frustrated.

Hi mamas...thought I'd let all you know that we are doing well. Baby Sophie is wonderful! The kids think she's pretty special. Madden is adjusting, but loves on the baby and rubs her little head and gives her hugs...Daphne loves to hold her! And Jaiden loves to hold her when I ask. He's 9 going on 13, I swear...
Me, can I just say that I have a lot to process!!!! I take one long look at this sweet little girl in my arms and, awe! I'm so amazed and love her soooo much! I feel so complete.
As for housing...me and the kids are staying w/a friend. DH is working on finding us a place, but it is slim pickings in our area unless we want to pay $1200 for rent. Our community resource has no funding so we are out of luck for emergency housing. We are waiting to hear back on a couple different places, so hopefully we will have some good news soon...Not exactly the best time for a move...
So there ya have it...it sucks...but what's a mama to do?

I apologize for posting and not being caught up with everyone....I am so thankful for all my friends and your support and warm thoughts...big hugs!

never mind! :-)

Wow, Nicole! That's a lot to have to deal with when you've got a new baby. Glad Sophie's doing well, I can't wait to see pictures!

It's, um, early. At least I have some work waiting for me, which in my current state is a good thing. And no math involved! The gods are smiling on me.

Nicole, I am sorry you have to deal with this. I hope you guys find a new place to live soon. That is no way to babymoon.

Why oh Why does Dh have to wait until 6 am to look for things he needs to take to work. And why does he have to wake me up to ask me where they are??? Now I can't go back to sleep a good hour before my alarm with all kids asleep. I am already getting a sleep deprivation headache.. lovely.

Hey

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for a chocolate layer cake with frosting that will come out moist and delicious and doesn't require any advanced baking utensils or skills?

Thanks!

Off to check Martha Stewart in the meantime.
Have you tried the one on the box of hershey's cocoa? I've done it a few times and it's never failed me. And it's really easy too. There's a recipe on there for frosting too.

Man, king size living is SWEET!

Damn Me and my need for unbrown potatoes. I'm running late already because I just had to make some this morning. They probably won't be done by the time I need to leave, so I'll be a little late. Which is probably good anyway.

Hedy What a rip off vacation. I'm sorry it wasn't better, much much better.

: Nicole, she is sooo beautiful!! I blinked and found myself cuddling the computer, she is irresistible. I hope this housing sitch gets figured out soon. Yay for friends, though. Are you staying with that nice woman (sorry, names escape me) you brought to the fountain way back when?

Candice
, I dreamed that you announced your pregnancy on your blog. Haven't checked this morning to confirm yet; maybe you could just announce it here.

Nicole, left a comment over at your blog, but have to say it here too. So, so so cute! I love the black and white photo.

I think she has your eyes.

Heather! We are meeting at Gladstone Coffee, SE 39th and Gladstone.

And yes, I've been a bit scattered lately, but I will have the e-vite out later to all who sent me their e-mail addresses. I'm so excited about Lily's party!

That is all for now as I must and feed my young before we take off!
