Mike had to be at work at 5am this morning in anticipation of a delivery truck arriving with windows. The truck did not arrive this morning. He got paid overtime to stand around for 2 hours

Also, I was wondering if Mike leaving for work was waking Jake up. Nope, he still woke up at exactly 6:30. Sigh.

Ugh. Yeah, today is the first day of school, and DH got up at 6:15...and Chase sat up as he was closing the bedroom door. I tried for 20 mins to get him to go back to sleep, but no luck.

So, yesterday I cleaned my bathroom, and I left my (empty) trashcan out in the hallway most of the day. When I went to put a new bag in it last night, I found it full of wooden blocks! Chase is SO very active these days. It's like learning to walk totally threw a switch on his activity level, the amount of "talking" and revved up his personality! He's such a little boy these days. *sigh*

Oh, and Hedy, we found the middle of the R and P in the bottom of the box of blocks! I'm not sure why we never looked there but the last time we played with them was when your girls were over. And here I was sure Chase threw them away and they were long gone!

I would LOVE a playdate with you this week! Can bring the table and exersaucer over whenever (which would totally encourage me to put together our new table ). I would think you could clip a seat to the long side, but I'm not sure it would be stable enough on the end, when it is unfolded.

And I totally need to touch base with you about Nicole's mealtrain, too.

woooooo, Nico slept from 9 to 6! Not a single wake up. I think I might have to return that bed afterall, and sleep in a tent from now on. That, and forfeit the early bed times.

Happy September all you Mamas!

I will be 37 in 2 weeks. Oh well, can't fight time. Maybe I'll stay 36

We are counting down the days for Indy's first day at preschool. He starts speech therapy on Thursday and then on Friday he goes for his first day. Next week he stats full time with speech therapy 2x a week and school 3x a week!

I'm on full mom-burn-out these days so I’m truly counting down the days till I get little breaks with just Gracie.

Off to get ready for our day.

Hello ladies. ........ can I crash your coffee date some morning? Where is Gladstone Coffee?


I LOVE the fall. We go apple picking, to the pumpkin patch, and leaf hunting every year. That coupled with soups and pies and warm drinks I am in love. I wish I could find a perpetual autumn (what that must say about my character)

Egads! I can not find my car keys ANYWHERE. The last time I saw them, Chase had them. I've looked in toyboxes, drawers, under furniture, in the laundry hampers and the diaper pail. Next up: kitchen trash and the backyard. I think I could use some good vibes on this one!!

Oh, and Aunt Flo is here. Loverly. Makes my day that much more interesting, you know?

Of course you can! Gladstone Coffee is just west of 39th on Gladstone Ave. There is an undercover and completely fenced (though very dusty) outside area, which is great for the kids.

what day works for you? Ru and I need to get out this morning... am thinking about going back to Ikea to return something and get another toy storage thing. Or maybe some thrift stores scouring for cool toys for the playroom. Or maybe I'll go buy chalkboard paint and paint something.
Not sure about the meal train yet. we're waiting till Nicole and fam are settled in their new home. I'll give a heads up when we're ready to move food

Ruby did too! but not in a tent... and it was after no nap, and a massive meltdown... so I dont' think i'll trade for that.

FOUND THEM! : And without having to go through the trash - they were in the far back corner of the backyard. Whew!

Between Powell and Holgate.

Thursday afternoon is no good, but any other day this week is great for us. We need to get out every day, pretty much. This boy all of a sudden has a TON of energy!

right there with you mama!

C's first day was today. And although I didn't cry, Mad was very upset that she wasn't going to school and demanded I look on "dot com" to find her a school.

looks like I'll be finding a parks and rec class for her to go to. I wish there was a location that was closer to me though. The closest one is about 60 blocks away.

Did you update the calendar the same time I did? Yours showed up just as I put mine in.

I came home and cried like a baby Amanda's first day of school. I was 7 months pregnant however. s It will get easier Beth.

Speaking of first days. I wanted Elizabeth to take a shower last night but she was playing a game with DH. DIdn't want to interrupt that, so I had DH wake her up this morning so she could take a shower. She showers.. eats.. gets dress... then goes and plays her game before school. I figured she was ready an hour early.. what could it hurt?

So we get to school and are walking outside.. and I noticed this white spot in her hair. I touch it and ask her if she put hairspray in. She says no. It's conditioner. We had no comb, were already at school, so Poor Elizabeth went to her first day of 5th grade with a big ole blog of conditioner in her hair.

I guess I will do checks after she takes showers from now on.
