Wow, that was a loooooooooooooooong weekend w/out MDC Hope all is well! We're doing fine. Nothing exciting to report...

boring here as well. AmberLeigh starts school tomorrow. Will let you know if we both survived. : (

took c to school. they had donuts and coffee for parents, so mad and I had a donut. c went into his classroom said goodbye and started his day.

on the way home, mad wanted to go to school. and was very upset when she realized we were down our street and she wasn't going to school. she said I needed to go look on dot com to find her a school.

And I'm happy to report, I didn't cry, though I could have.

we'll see how the rest of the day goes. guess I should look into a half day program for mad. even though I have no idea how I'm going to afford it. I think E makes too much for head start.

Thought of something to report Rowan has been getting up only ONCE/night for the last week. Sleeping from 9/10 to 3/4 : I feel very fortunate to have parented 2 good sleepers.

Lisa, how is your husband? I hope AmberLeigh's first day goes great!

Leslie, awww! I didn't cry on Nate's first day, but I did tear up a few days later.

We have our appt. tomorrow to register the kids at HCA.

To start September off with a bang : M finally got ahold of the person at the insurance handling the suit. He gave her his statement, stressing that she was at fault {though he didn't mention that she was making an illegal turn, which would have been something that I stressed heavily}. She called him back almost immediately after hanging up. She called the other lawyer ~ turns out the other driver hired one of those tv shysters, the kind that push for lawsuit no matter what, and he's going straight to suit, no interest in negotiation. She's asking for $500,000. She was at fault! I'm so farking angry about this.

The adjustor said we have plenty of insurance so it won't cost us anything {except that our insurance is going to go through the roof and it's already high}, but that's not why I'm angry. I'm relieved that any settlement that <insert expletive here> gets won't come directly from our pockets, but I'm angry at the utter lack of respect for justice. She was making an illegal turn, she didn't check the lane, she caused the accident. But SHE is suing US?

Okay, thank you for letting me vent. I'm so darn angry about this that I'm shaking. We didn't even put in a claim for the repairs on our vehicle at all. If we do, we'll have to pay the deductible and we really can't afford that {and even if we could, it's just a minor gash in the fender, not a big deal} and M wants to take the high road anyway. Me? I want to go down to the city, find her and throw things at her.

Sooo... how was everyone's Labor Day weekend?

Jessie, that just plain sucks!

weekend was good, E finished attaching the chicken house to the pen and closed up the roof where a resourceful varment could get in (up under the roof there was enough space for a cat or a racoon.)

and well, I made a lunch bag for C, some sandwich bags, and a crocheted water bottle sleeve so it doesn't condensate on the table.

Okay well now that its back I will once again be computerless for a while. Hopefully just a day or two. Call me if anything fun is going on or anyone wants to get together I am sure the kids would love to play.

Jessie! We had a very similar situation and it sucked. John was just driving down the rd ( a country hwy, 55 mph) and some guy pulled out of a side st w/out stopping and hit him. course he ended up getting sued (by the passenger in the other car) for it even though it wasn't his fault : Luckily we didn't shell out a dime but yeah, it sucked and it still shows up on our credit which makes NO sense to me

Hope things go better for you guys. Maybe you can sue them back.

Jessie...thank stinks. So sorry.

So jealous that Rowan only woke up once.

Hunter is 16 months old and he woke up to nurse 6 times last night. SIX!

this is unusual....he usually is up 2 times to nurse. Maybe he's teething? I'm a freak'n zombie today.

canned blackberry jam this weekend and blanching and freezing peaches today.

This is going to show up on our credit??!

After all of the hard work we've put in to improving our credit score, this is going to hurt us in that way? That is so beyond unfair.

Jessie...OMG that would suck

DH is in more pain today. He was doing better yesterday but then he went for his sleep study last night and I think the bed they had him on wasn't great for his back. He will get the results on the 17th but they did say he has sleep apnea.

Brianna was up like 6 times last night...I felt like I got no sleep...one time I tried rocking her as she had just nursed an hour ago and she was having NONE of that...she wanted to nurse......so that we did.

I don't know if it's supposed to but it does for us. Hopefully it's just the messed up credit reporting system and it won't show up for you guys Does it affect Mick's work? since he drives for a living and was on the job?
I hope it doesn't effect his job. He had to have an abstract printed when he started the job, but they know about the accident so it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm most angry about how unethical this is. It was her fault, but instead of being honest she jumped to hiring the most cut throat attourney she could find. It's so wrong. Her passenger is claiming injury, too. She made an illegal turn and could have killed someone, but SHE is crying foul? It's not right. Where is her sense of common decency and honesty? Where is her moral compass?

I can only hope that she is roundly defeated. It's not about money for me ~ our insurance will cover it, though our rates are going to skyrocket. It's the principle of the whole thing. What kind of person does that?

I'm upset about the possibility of it going on our credit report, too. We planned to buy a house in a couple of years and are working our tails off to improve our credit rating to that purpose.

Enough ranting for one night.

Changing gears: We go tomorrow to register the kids at HCA! I'm excited. Nate chose the resource classes he wants to take. I need to pick out a couple for Gunner. I think Ana is going to take Hop, Skip, Jump. Nate wants to take beginning guitar at Beacock's, too.

Oh, and it smells delicious in here. I have a loaf of bread in the bread machine and a yellow cake in the oven. Uh, I forgot the vanilla in the cake though. I'm hoping that isn't a problem. It will have vanilla pudding in the middle, a cream cheese whipped frosting and strawberries on top and in the middle, so plenty of flavor. Hoping the lack of vanilla isn't an issue!

It's sounds delicious Where is the licking my chops smiley?

Insomnia here. Hunter decided to have another round of nighttime nursing that lasted forever. It took me a while to realize he was totally asleep and using me like a pacifier. By then I was completely awake. :

So I'm catching up on political news and searching craigslist for stuff I can't possibly need.

Good luck at HCA Jessie, hope the kids love it! Happy back to school day to AmberLeigh and anyone else I forgot! Happy not back to school day for those of us homeschooling. We should have a mid week mid day picnic just 'cuz we can Will we see anyone at Oaks Park on Friday?

How was Carson's first day?
Well I am hoping AmberLeigh is okay. I like her teacher and she was great with AmberLeigh. AmberLeigh started her day at home crying, sobbing, pleading, begging, almost puking...it wasn't a good scene and as much as it killed me we worked with her to calm down and we got her in the car and took her to school. I really can't homeschool her...I was burned out as a mom, a wife, and a person in general. I really pray and hope that she comes home happier than she left.
