I don't get it. All I get is a page that says soon you will be able to join but does not give any other info about what, etc...

Kids' first day is tomorrow! They are sooo excited. Seriously jittering tonight. They're finally starting to wind down and fall asleep. I cut Gunner's hair, but only trimmed it enough for him to see. His curls are all gone, which is a bummer, but he wanted it cut and has been asking for weeks. I convinced Nate to let me try to even his hair up a bit, but it still looks terribly uneven. The mohawk grew out and he loves how choppy and funky it looks, but he looks like Christian Sirano and I sooooo don't like it. But it's his hair. Already having clothing battles; he wanted to wear a torn up ratty old tee and I put my foot down and said no way. Ana wanted to wear her party dress, which has a big tear in it. Gunner asked if he had to wear shoes or if he could just go barefoot.

Ali has been carrying her little lunch tote around all day asking when she gets to go to school.

Store opens at 8am!!! I think I might jitter apart from nerves

I just realized it is Monday. So of course their first day was not yesterday!! Duh! What days are you there again? Maddy is there on Thursday and structured PE on Monday.

You are going to be awesome tomorrow!!!

So get together this week? Kevanna? What day? Weather looks good all week.

I have been reading this really old Organic Gardening book I bought last year at the town yardsale at my Grandma's. Well there was a section that started talking about plants and stories about them and it started talking about the man shaped plant Mandragora and how stories were told by the Greeks of it shrieking when pulled. Ring a bell for anyone?

Kevanna sounds good to me. Kids have school on Tuesday and Friday. Fridays are going to be a bit odd for me until we get used to the schedule. All three of them have resource classes in the afternoon, but Ana's ends at 1:45 while Nate and Gunner will be in 'til 3. So Ali, Ana and I will have a little over an hour between when I need to be there to pick up Ana and when I can pick up Nate and Gunner. So that will be something we need to work out what to do with ourselves during that hour. It's not enough time to go home and go back.

Mandrakes! How neat. JK Rowling did some excellent research for those books. There is a related book being released soon {might have already been released?}, called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The book of stories mentioned in Deathly Hallows.

Kevanna sounds great! Thursday works for me. I can do Tuesday, but we have to be back at the school for Gunner and Ana at noon. Wednesday we have the kids therapy at 2 and Friday they'll be in school all day, but Ali and I could go to the park in the morning.

I was getting the kids back packs all packed up and realised that I completely forgot to pick up supply boxes for them. So I'm going to be the unprepared Mom sending her kids supplies to school in a ZipLock bag, ugh. I'll be heading to the store right after getting them settled in class to buy supply boxes. Please tell me Target still has back packs and other school supplies still in stock! Nate still has his old back pack, from when he was in first grade and it's in decent enough condition for him to use for tomorrow, but I feel like it's kind of unfair to him that his siblings get new stuff and he doesn't because I forgot. So I'm going to surprise him with a backpack when he gets home from school.

We're just heading to Lewisville today to swim and soak with some other homeschoolers.

If you guys meet up Thursday at Kevanna we can probably do that one, too. Never heard of it though, I'll have to get directions...

I'm remembering why I'm not a morning person...

Store is live!!

Leaving to take the kids to school in a few minutes. Gulp. I'm more nervous than they are!

Does everyone who homeschools

know about FLEX?

know about VCHS?

know Kim and the field trips?

would you be interested in having a place to see rsvps for stuff (field trips, park days, workshops, seminars, you would also be able to host stuff), and communicate with other homeschoolers with a a forum?
