My water just broke

I was lying in bed reading (I napped with my toddler this afternoon and couldn't fall asleep). It's 3:43 AM here. When I stood up, it gushed down my legs. I went to the bathroom just in case it was incontinence (babe had been sitting on my urethra all day) and when I stood up from peeing, more fluid gushed down my legs and onto the floor. It seems to be a very slight pink in color with small bits of vernix mixed in.

Please send me vibes that labor starts soon. I'm waiting to call the midwife until morning unless I start having contractions.

I live on the West Coast, so this only happened about 30 minutes ago. I'll definitely keep updating. Still nothing. Trying to prod baby into moving here and there (I'm a drop worried about prolapse, but feel nothing in my vagina and babe isn't yet engaged).

YAYYYYY!!!!!! so exciting!!!!!!! when is your EDD? I am getting so anxious with all these babies coming and mamas goin into labor! My EDD is not until around the 3rd week in September so I am going to have to be a bit patient, but i cant help hoping it was me! Best to you and the baby!! keep us all posted!

My EDD is Sept 11 per LMP - Sept 15 per my midwife. I never thought I would go early. I planned on going over 41 weeks. Strange.

I did have 2 dreams, however, where my water broke and I was waiting and waiting for labor to start (kinda like now...just sitting around gushing fluid and drinking water over here...) until finally I sent my DH out for something then I had the baby all on my own.

I was sitting here and making a list for DH to go to the store first thing in the AM when I realized what might happen if he actually goes

Waiting for the toddler to wake up and nurse. Maybe some nipple stim will start contractions.

Just finished nursing ds - for the first time in weeks I didn't almost cry out in pain when he latched on.

I maybe had two contractions that were a drop stronger than BH and seemed to peak though they weren't very long and there were only 2 in the 20 minutes he nursed....

Still not having strong contrax, but they are coming about every 10 min and lasting for just over a minute.
