Mara was born at 3:43 am on 9/01/08. Active labor was around 24 hours, all together, with about 2 hours of pushing, but for a 9 lb 6 oz posterior baby, that's not so bad!! Just an itty bitty tear on the labia and an ouchy hematoma that will hopefully clear up soon.
DH was amazing throughout and our midwife was particularly wonderful with suggesting positions to help baby move down.
Now we're just learning all the first time parent stuff as we go. We couldn't be happier or more excited to meet her!
