...to delurk and say hello. I'm usually a lurker more than a poster on forums, but I've been getting more and more hooked to this DDC lately that it just didn't seem right not to say something. I've been loving hearing how everyone is doing and learning all about this pregnancy/birthing business. You guys brighten my day and you don't even know it!

About me... I'm a first time mama, due the 19th, although I am expecting to go longer than that. Just a feeling. My husband and I are Americans living in Canada. (I'm going to give birth to a Canadian!) He is a full time student, and I am self-employed, working from home. I just started my "official" maternity leave, and I feel like I'm on summer vacation! Only really tired!

Welcome spanica! Great to have you here, even though it is close to the end.

Is this your first baby? Are you ready? This is our 3rd (although my dh's first bio baby, but you couldn't tell bc he is THE DADDY to our boys) and we are just feeling like we are ready. I got the car seat yesterday and my dh is getting the hose we need for my water birth today.

So excited over here, I bet you are too!

Thanks, guys!

First baby? yes. Excited? yes. Ready? Hmmm... not so sure about that one. We've gotten lots done, but there's still lots left to do. Today brings more baby laundry and more baking/freezing if I can muster the energy. I keep switching between "I want to meet my baby now!" and "How will I ever be able to handle a baby???" I'm just trying to take it all as it comes and trust that everything will work out in the end.
