Is it just me

or does it seem like there are a lot of pre-EDD births in this DDC? I'm sure other DDCs have their share, but it feels like those mostly have babies born around or after 40 weeks. We have had a LOT of births prior to 40 weeks, and I'm sure we will have some post-40 weeks (probably me). But it's quite encouraging to have so many come "early". One can only hope...

It's encouraging for me

(BTW your screen name makes me laugh every time I see it. Thanks for the chuckle several times a day)

That is kinda what I thought too, I'm glad it isn't just me. But then I'm not really on other DDCs either, although I frequent the Oct DDC since I'm due so late in Sept. I'm at the point now where the birthday could legitimately be anywhere from 1 week to 6 (I'd like to shoot for the 21-22 of Sept, the equinox)! I guess it keeps me on my toes

You're very welcome! One time I was on the phone with someone with a survey company, and I was spelling out my email for him, and he said "Boobyfeeder? Isn't that illegal?" I asked him what on earth he was talking about, and he said something about feeding boobies. He was talking about the birds! lol I told him it referred to breastfeeding, and he laughed and said that is certainly not illegal!

It must be this month. I'm in a DDC on another message board and there are TONS of early births there, too.
Not me though- seems my mother is right- I am a very good hostess. So good my uterine guests don't like to leave!! (DS was a 41 weeker and tomorrow is my EDD for this one with no labor in sight)

I've noticed that too! I'll be giving birth before my due date too (my midwife told me that she plans to induce) but there are a lot of us here who have gone early!

I hope it holds true!

Yeah I guess not for me. I am approaching my due date and my midwife seems to think I will go over. This makes me crazy because this is my 3rd baby and my first 2 were before their EDD. :

I'm past my EDD for the first time so apparently this isn't applying to me.

im honestly not hoping to go into labor early. yes, im tired of being pregnant right now and very very uncomfortable but im only 36 weeks this week.

Well in all honesty I was hoping to go early, but now that I need to get my hgb levels up to keep my HB, I am happy to let this baby bake as long as needed.

I was thinking that too, but worried that there was something cosmic or whatever going on because I do not want to go before my EDD! I may be alone here, but I enjoy this last month, the sort of "calm before the storm."

I think if my OB had his way, he'd already be shooting me up with pit or cutting me open... I'm not even due till the 13th! Thank God I'm also seeing a midwife and actually educate myself about birth.

Yeah, we have a lot of early birds here!!!

Well, if the "going early" thing holds true - I have two days. I was hoping for an August baby since everyone in my family was born in August. But I guess this babe is taking after his/her father in having to be unique and special....Now I hope I go over and make it to the 13th, which is a very lucky number in my family.

Today is my EDD so no early for me. Had a false start yesterday though. 2-3 min apart for over an hour and then they just stopped. Oh well.
