Im looking for some different handprint / footprint art ideas. What are your favorites?

You can make a wreath out of hand prints cut from colored paper. Also trace both feet and cut out/ or step in paint and stamp them side by side on paper. Attach pipe cleaners and center black rectangle and you have a butterfly.

Oriental Trading company has a halloween set that uses a footprint as a ghost's body, and the kit comes with eyes/facial features, and ribbon to hang it. This was a big hit at a halooween costume party for babies I went to last year. They also have a santa one, were you use the handprint for santa beard.

A couple ideas:

1) Print flowers. Trace hand/foot print onto colorful paper. Use cut out prints as flowers to decorate cards or make picture. I did this for mother's day with ds' prints.

2) Make hand/foot prints on ceramics with underglaze. We do this all the time at the local pottery studio. Pay a small fee for "studio" time and the ceramic piece. They fire and glaze with clear-coat. I've done lots of tiles and plates for ds at various ages.

3) Trace hand/foot print onto paper. Cut out and use as a pattern to cut prints out of fabric scraps. Appliqué prints onto bags, shirts, quilts, etc. I do this to personalize ds' backpack. I also have done it to decorate gifts, etc.

4) Make handprints/footprints on butcher paper with tempra paint. Use decorated paper to wrap gifts.
