RI AP Mamas - RWP zoo Friday

At our weekly play group today at Humboldt I suggested a trip to the RWP zoo for Friday morning and Ariana graciously offered to host lunch afterwards at her house. Then I realized DD has her pedi appt. in Foster on Friday at 10:00 am.

I'm hoping people will still be interested in going, but in the afternoon instead. Maybe we could meet at Ariana's first, and then go the zoo? Of course, if this is super-inconvenient for too many people, you should all go ahead without me. Since I'm feeling desperate for adult time this week, I just thought I'd throw out the possibility of a pm rather than an am trip.

i can't this week (mom coming to town & we're going on a Women's Retreat at a YMCA boys camp in NH--very exciting!), but if people want to do it again, i'd be in! have fun...

we'd be fine with afternoon instead of morning. anyone know what time the zoo closes? is anyone napping at any particular time that might conflict? amy would probably sleep in the mei tai for some portion of the time, so no conflict here.

ugh! turns out jury duty is two days not one, so that's where I will likely be tomorrow...glad to get to know this group of mamas & bebes & will see you at humbolt next week?

What ever is good for us- we don't have much going on, well HSing and lots of sewing and knitting, and nap time is a distant memory.

Edited to add- Sorry ladies, I found out we are NOT able to make it on Firday Have fun!!!!!

Last admission is 4:30.
Normally Noah naps but this week Alana has priorityHe doesn't nap everyday anyway and if Friday was one of the days he ended up not napping:
Do we still want to do lunch or maybe wait to meet at 1 or even 2?
Caitlin- bummer about jury duty- and glad you found this thread.

good news! I am off the hook for jury duty tomorrow. Afternoon works for us-- may be more like 2:30 depending on her nap which she still takes and I protect like a mama bear b/c an active girl needs her rest (that goes for both of us, ha ha).

so......maybe see some of you tomorrow at the zoo in the afternoon? hope so!

so shall we say 1-ish??? are we meeting at my house or at the zoo entrance????

we live so close and we've never actually been to the zoo, imagine that. it's like living in nyc and never having been to the empire state building.

1-ish sounds good. If we meet at Ariana's house we can walk through the park to get to the zoo entrance, right? Or we could meet at the zoo (plenty of parking) and then head to Ariana's afterwards depending on the nap/crankines factor?

What do y'all think?

1-ish at either the zoo entrance or Ariana's works for me ....I'll just go along with the crowd...

Would it be easier for us all to find parking near Ariana's or at the zoo itself?

well parking near my house hasn't ever been a problem, but the nap/crankiness factor might be something to consider, since it is probably close to a 30 minute walk from my house to the zoo...a pretty walk through the park, but a walk nonetheless. we are on the south-easterly edge of the park, and the zoo is on the north side.

i guess we could meet at the zoo and then if peeps feel like it, we can convene at my house afterwards...sound ok?

K- so 1 at the zoo entrance with a possible second adventure to Arianna's after the zoo.
P.S. I'm bringing my mom to help kid wrangle!
