i miss knitting!

i used to be a pretty regular poster on mdc..especially on here in the yarn crafts forum..but i moved to the country last june and since then ive been pretty much offline.
i knit a ton over the summer, fall and winter till my newest baby was born and since then i havn't knit anything and i miss it soooOOO much. but im finally after 16 months im back again and hoping that having this place of gentle encouragement i can start to knit again. :

so welcome me back!

welcome back!!!

I go through cycles of knitting a lot and not knitting/crocheting/crafting at all. I figure-- once a crafter always a crafter. the beauty of knitting is that it doesn't take much to jump back into it!

Have you got wiggle room in your budget for a magic ball? There's one open at the moment, and that might inspire you. It's funny, I was thinking about you the other day- there's a Tam Lin KAL just started up on ravelry. You pick the project, inspired by the fairy story.

helen, im pretty low on cash, and i have a huge stash calling out to me. im also planning on lots of spinning this long winter, so im going to pass..but maybe the next one i wll feel more inclined. thanks so much for the invite though. i have so missed you these past months.

aquarian, thanks for the warm words :

im planning to drag my bags of yarn and needles out from storage today and cast on some longies for rue..she's all but outgrown her newborn pairs and its starting to get chilly here already.

Yeah, I'm working on a pair of longies for River atm. I just learned how to magic-loop: it's funny, because knitting these, I was thinking of you and all of Ngaio's gorgeous handknits that you did when we were preggers.
I hate to say this, but, erm, have you got round to knitting yourself anything yet?

no..nothing for me yet..but i knit myself a panta last year and i still wear it a lot. i havein mind some fingerless gloves and a hat maybe..oh and some socks. knee length with stripes and skulls
