It seems I can't listen to the radio for 15 minutes lately without hearing that stupid CDC commercial. The one where it's that wishy-washy sounding mother that just wants to do what's right for her baby so she hasn't vaccinated yet. That one bothers me much, much more than the regular reminders they used to have on.
Then this morning I turned on the tv and there was a news story about a study that was the "nail in the coffin" in the autism and mmr debate. It conclusively showed there is no link. Most children that had GI problems and autism symptoms after the shot apparently had them before as well, according to the story, and they wrapped it up by stating that 90% of the people in the US that had the measles last year were unvaxinated.
Why is not vaxing viewed as that big of a threat - especially considering how few people don't vax - that there's this huge deal being made out of it?

If some people don't vax, it could lead to more, then more, then more. Of course the slippery slope they're promoting is that a declining rate of vaxes could lead to a big increase in diseases.
