The server broke up a discussion between us on how to say the name of your town. She told us to picture a husband who was grateful that his wife finally went on a diet to lose the weight. And he now can she's "Skinny-at-last" or "Skaneateles". Weird, right?
But your town is soooo sweet. Love the view you have on the water there! If there were a Starbucks in town, I would have considered moving there when we were debating on where to settle down.

Was the restaurant called the Blue Water Grill by chance?
The town is beautiful, but very well-to-do (of which we are not and live on the outskirts) which I think gives it a bit of a reputation for snobbishness (like, "Oh, you live in Skaneateles, you must be rich"). It's a very peaceful place to live, with an excellent school system, which was one of the things that really drew us here.
Drove by the lake today-very rough waters!
ETA-your dd is SO ADORABLE! Love that grin
