Only a man would suggest this

Our toilet is clogged. I can't seem to get it plunged properly to unblock it so it's just waiting for DH to get home to do it. He's working late tonight and won't be home until nearly 9pm. When I asked him what I was supposed to do about a toilet for the rest of the day, he suggested that I use DD's training potty and then dump it down the tub drain.

Me. 9 months pregnant. Trying to perch on a toddler's plastic potty to pee, which is pretty much every 20 minutes. Is he insane?!

OMG too funny! Couldn't you see us trying to do that?

Get a pipe snake. You can find one at the local hardware store. My mom figured out how to use one... lol. So I guess you could too. It only cost us $8 and it's been worth it for the amount of times this da*n toilet has clogged!!!!

Funny to think about! BUT, on the other hand you could practice squatting flat footed to help babe engage

I have done the squat to pee while camping very pregnant so I could see me doing this.

Glad I gave ya'll a laugh.

I ended up just using the regular toilet but not putting any more paper in it and using the ol' drip-dry method. I was having one of those days where I had to pee every 20 minutes and while I probably could have done the potty thing once or twice, there was no way I was going to do it numerous times! Toilet is now fixed. Whew! Can you imagine if that happened when I was in labour?!

Ack in labor would have been no good! Glad it's fixed now

I am having a similar "where to go" dilemma right now. There are painters here (yay for getting the house painted before baby!) and one of them has been hovering around the bathroom window and scraping for hours. I already made a quick trip into town to use the bathroom at the coop, but I don't want to have to do that again. Of course, all of this is making me have to go even more frequently. I don't want to ask him to get off the scaffolding every 20 minutes because I am so anxious to get this house painted!

Too freakin' funny. I needed that laugh and could totally see my DH giving a suggestion like that.
