I thought this was it! (updating..maybe this is it?)

Yesterday I got back from running some errands and was hosting a drop-in playgroup at our house WHEN...I went to the bathroom and found a huge ball of snot in my underwear! It was totally clear, and about the size of a small bouncy ball. The childbirth educator in me just wanted to find some way to store it so I could show people this is what a mucous plug can look like! Yeah...I guess I'm weird that way!!

I yelled out to my friends that I'd lost my plug and they all got so excited...they started cleaning, we got my laborade made up, and called hubby and my other labor support person to let them know.

Why all the excitement? Because, with my last two my labor has started IMMEDIATELY after I've lost my plug.

Well, I was a bit concerned because my midwife was off for 24 hours, but I figured I'd be ok with the back up.

AND...nothing happened!! Nada, zippo, zilch!!! I was happy because I did get to go to the SING-ALONG Mama Mia movie and danced with my friends in the theatre...great fun.

But, still nothing. Really goes to show you how labor can be different each time. Due date is on Saturday....looks like I'll probably go over with this little person too. At least I know I'm somewhat dilated now (I don't do any internals with my midwives). Woohoo!!! A little less work for later!!! And at least my midwife will be around.

Still nothing...but this morning a storm front came through and my body had its typical response to a storm....a MAJOR migraine! Then....I started feeling crampy...omg....labor with a migraine...that would be totally unfair!! (Although I have had two moms tell me about passing kidney stones during labor..so I guess it could be worse!!). I broke down and took some tylenol, which I have yet to do during this pregnancy for a migraine. And now...the cramping has gone away (did the tylenol take care of it or was I just stressing unnecessarily??). Come on....this is #3....shouldn't my body just push this baby out in 2 hours without any pain?? LOL!!!!! I think looking at all these birth stories is making it worse!!! How many times am I going to think this is it...before it is! I'm obviously not of rational mind at this point!!!

Lol, yesterday I went for a walk with my mom to see if I could get my body interested in doing anything. Made myself feel a little crampy... and got a huge sideache... but other than that... nothing. lol. Figures. My body is just not ready yet I guess. Not fair. How come it can't be ready when I want it to be?

Oh yay...cramping is back...with some contractions. Totally spaced apart right now (every 20 minutes)...but the first contractions with some cramping..yeehaw (and a bit of bloody show)! My body must be doing some work!! I have to say I really would love to have this baby tomorrow, as it was my brother's birthday (he died when he was 25 in a car accident)....so maybe it will happen (and hey...it's my due date, it would be the first time I didn't go over!)!!! BTW...I am absolutely exhausted...where the heck is the nesting energy??

The cramping isn't stopping....but would you believe what happened? My new tenant went out and locked her door. The key returned by the last tenant is not the right one....argh! So she helped me get things going as I've searched high and low for the key (doubling over every once in awhile with the contraction) to no avail (really what are the chances of me losing the one key and the old tenant giving me the wrong one?)!! Hubby finally got home and pried off the door. I think I'll nap for a bit and see what happens, I AM so tired!! Where is this energy I told you ladies all about??

They're still coming...not getting closer together though. Could be a long one!! Got hubby making up the bed and trying to get the house in order. Baby is still moving around a lot....don't they usually go to sleep?

Still going....and lots more show. Wow...I thought #3 would go fast! My subconscious must be holding out for tomorrow! The contractions feel pretty strong, but I can still talk through them and they're only lasting 30 seconds or so. And this baby is still wiggly!! I'm off to watch the Business of Being Born (on my birthing ball of course, with lots of hip rotation)! Maybe the baby will get inspired by the movie!!
