Yes, we are both doing okay. I decided early on in the process to reserve judgement on the birth experience until after he was here. I didn't shed a tear over my lost homebirth, but tried to focus on doing what we needed to do at the time. I can't say "I wouldn't have it any other way" but I can say that given the circumstances, I got the best birth I could possibly have gotten and had the best support team for the task at hand, which is all any of us should really expect from our births (although I firmly believe that we have the RIGHT to expect that for every birth for every woman in the US--or worldwide, for that matter-- it is not often the case that women get that, ya know?).
