I can't decide if I'm torturing myself by coming here to read about all of the new babies who have arrived, or if obsessing with you all is a good outlet for my "I want to give birth now!" energy. What do you think -- is this board torture or a good outlet for you? * Jaime

Oh it's such a good outlet - much better than calling my husband every five minutes going ... I wonder if this could be it....

Haha. You know, it's funny -- giving birth is all I want to talk about, an yet I get so annoyed when people ask me when I'm due or if I've had my baby yet!

I sometimes wonder if I wouldn't do better to distract myself with something non-baby related. But maybe that's not really possible...

It makes me wonder - when is it MY turn. But it also reminds me that everyone else feels that way. And that the end result is SO worth the wait.

It's definitely a good outlet for me. It's funny but I have a big bump, I watch it move around, I've seen my baby during ultrasounds, listened to her heart beat, played with her little feet and still can't believe there's a baby less than an inch under my skin. Reading the birth announcements from moms in the Sept DDC is so exciting to me and a reminder I will be next. I have 1 week 6 days to go. I'm so hoping she's on time as opposed to later! I'm so eager to get the show on the road and start our life with our baby girl!

Yesterday was a big day for our DDC! Four baby announcements! WOW! It's sooo exciting - I love reading the announcements and seeing pictures. Just a few days ago, we were discussing pregnancy issues and now it's birth stories! It's really quite wonderful!

what really gets me is seeing the ittybitty's photos...we had an ultrasound on Tuesday and yet, I still can't believe that what I see photographed is what I have in me now!

I sent the picture of Charlotte's little Silas to DH yesterday and he was like, - that can't be what's inside of you!

: My husband reacts the same way every time I show him pics of the September DDC babies! I update him on the latest number of mom's who've given birth as well and that really drives it home for him!

it's torture. I mean I love you ladies, really I do. But I'm post due date now and it's so hot here and I'm tired and I just want my baby already!! Reading about all the early or on time births is so hard.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it torture but I'm definitely a bit jealous of those who have already met their babies. As Montse said, I don't quite believe I'm actually going to have a baby.

Of course it doesn't help that I'm a late Sept DD and have a good possibility of going into Oct!

I'm so jealous of everyone who's given birth already. August weather was beautiful and now all of a sudden September is hot and muggy. I hate it!

Right now I'm loving reading all the announcements and seeing the beautiful little babies! It's definitely helping me to feel ready and getting me excited, since this pregnancy and baby have felt more surreal to me. I can't believe all these babies are coming! Of course I still have 3 weeks left so I'm hoping it won't be torture then and that there will be some of you still left waiting with me!!

I voted "Pure torture!", because everyone here is so obsessed about going into labor and I'm trying to be all zen about it. I'm not due 'til the middle of the month and I'm pretty sure I'll go late (1st timers often do). Plus everyone at work is totally freaked out that I'm going to go into labor at work, which they think will be the end of the world. I've already had half a dozen offers to drive me to the hospital. Puh-lease! If I go into labor while at work I'm going to sit here in my chair and read until its time to go home. Then I'm going to drive myself home. I'm not telling any of them! Why, oh why, does everyone IRL think having a baby is an emergency?

OK...apparently I needed to vent. I really do wish everyone here a happy, easy labor and birth.

Pure torture here. it is driving me crazy. Everytime I see that someone else has had their baby I get happy for them but bummed for me (espcially when their due date is after mine). I have been having prodromal labor for weeks and getting so close to my due date (2 more days). If I actually get to Sunday that would be the most pregnant I have ever been (through 4 pregnancies).

who is due at the END of September?

im thinking those of us who have that "EDD" at the end of Sept. may need a bit of support.

i have been more active in Oct. b/c my last baby was a 41 weeker but i realize i could also deliver in Sept. so i hang here just a bit too.

so are you due at the end of Sept?

eta: meant to start a new thread!! definite prego brain! lol!

I'm due mid month too... but it's driving me nuts even just waiting another week and a half. I want to have this baby now! I'm so not patient.... lol.
