Is this normal? (If there is such a thing)

I had an appointment yesterday with my ob. He did a cervical check. I know if can be normal to have some spotting afterwards. How much is really normal? I have had a few checks before and not had any spotting but after this time. I last night I had just a little and didn't need even need a panty liner. I woke up last to go the bathroom and I had so much spottingthat it I had change both my underwear and pants. I am having a hard time not getting excited that he could be coming but I know that I still have 3 wks until my due date.

Some spotting is normal...but not too much. Could some of it be your plug (mucousy??)? Any chance he did a stretch and sweep...that can sometimes cause a bit more bleeding.

It had been mucousy. I am not sure what he did. I was only a finger tip dialated and thick so I wouldn't think so but I don't really know.

Sounds like he stripped your membranes...which is often done w/o moms permission.

I really don't think he would have done that he is a very natural friendly and I am not due until the 29th.

So the spotting is still continuing. I thought I it had stopped but then the next time I had a good glob of mucus that had a quite a bit of pink in it.

That definitely sounds like your mucus plug mama. I don't know what else to tell you, but keep us updated.
