a yahoo groups question

I realize this seems kind of random in this forum, but it was the best place I could find to ask it. I'm in a local politics yahoo group and trying to figure out if my input is being censored.

Does anybody know, if I post a message to a yahoo group, and the yahoo thingie says that it posted (not that it was waiting for moderator approval), can the moderator still jump in there and delete my message? I drafted a message in the text box for posting a message, then hit send, and then came back later to find it MIA.

I'd try and repost but it was a detailed message and since I drafted it in the text box I don't have it saved anywhere.

Thanks, if you can help me!

Yes. A moderator can delete any message at all. However, people that have their groups membership set to "individual messages" will get it anyway. It will not go out in the digest, however, provided it wasn't the 25th message that filled the digest...

An easy way to check is to look at the message numbers. Look at the messages around the approximate time you sent it. Is there a number missing? That may have been your post. If there is no number missing, then Yahoo probably ate it, which happens too.
