Anyone else keep putting of and putting off getting vaxes?

With my ds I was like-
"I will wait till he is 6mo to start" and then "Well I'll wait till 1 yr".
Then is was "Well I will get a few select ones starting at age two".
LOL, Well now he is 2 1/4 yrs and I am telling myself "I'lll wait till he can
talk really well so if there are ANY problems from the shot he can explain
the symptoms to me".
I also keep narrowing down the few I think I want to get him.

Anyone else like this when it comes to vaxxing their kids?

No,but sort of. With our first, I *had* those thoughts, but let my fear override my gut feelings. So I had that DC vaxed.....something I deeply regret, and cannot take back. Even if that dc could have talked, it still would have been too late for the vax injury.

You sound so much like a dear friend of mine. She is the one who told me to come here to MDC. I can see why. I have spent sooo much time reading,I think me eyesmight just pop out. But, it's a good thing to read.

IMHO, those thoughts are perhaps your gut feelings? and with good reason?

ETA....I no longer vax my dc,at all.

Well, I'm currently in the "I'll wait til she's 6 months" to start camp. And now that she's 5.5 months, I think I may move to the "I'll wait until a year" camp. :-)

I wanted to wait with DD2, but got talked into it by DH. After her 4 month shots I just never made it back in. I was going to wait to do anymore until a year and just get a couple). Then I thought 2 (just a couple) and now DH and I have decided not at all. We may see about the chicken pox one if our kids haven't gotten it by preteen years.
BTW, DD1 is fully vaxed, DS is vaxed up to 2 years, and with DD2 we stopped after 4 months. If (when) we have any more kids I don't plan on vaxing them at all.

My super-healthy 9.5 month old is still on his "delayed schedule" and doing just fine. We go everywhere and do everything, and I think the best thing I have done for him is breastfeed exclusively and trust in his healthy, wonderful immune system!

So yeah, we'll see what happens...

My boys were vaxed near complete, but I did wait till they were over 9 months and started slowly, one by one. Now I wish I had not had them done at all. But we can only do what we can with the knowledge we have at the time.
My daughters are 5. They have had no vaccines at all.
I am only just considering polio to start, but I feel I would be poisoning them. We want to travel though.

DD just had her 1 year checkup. of course her pediatrician brought up the vax subject. "So you're still delaying, until 2"? She then states she sees "my point" and agrees with(??!) not doing Hep. B and polio. Of course I'm thinking and already know, I just don't see the point in any! And the more I read and research the more I feel this way! So knowing how you feel Spirit Dancer.

Well, we originally planned to start selectively vaxing at 2yrs. I just never found any vaxes that were worth the risk when I researched.

YES< my dear friend has gone through this and had many done bc of her husband, and now she is not doing it anymore.. the last one she had, she was up screaming bloody murder that night... and i told her "that is a reaction!!"

she does not vaccinate any more..

go with your gut........ My naturopath told me that had I vaccinated my borderline ADD child, he could have been autistic.

I've done this too. My next target age is 18

me.
I find it a very hard decision to make so we've just sort of ended up being on a very very delayed schedule.
I hear the arguments and research from both sides.
I don't feel qualified to interpret the data but I don't trust the pharma industry either.
I quote every medical association that recommends extending breast feeding so why are they all of a sudden not credible when it comes to vaccines.
aaarrrgh!
