Obsess with me! All of a sudden 3 mins apart...

So...obsess with me! The past week I have had noticeable BHs that are also sometimes very regular...like every 10mins apart. One period of time they were 5 mins apart. Well right now as I have been sitting at the computer 6 of them have been 3 mins apart each and I'm a little crampy with them. Hmm...

I doubt it is anything. Although my midwife does want me to call her as soon as I even think I might really be in labor, because with DS things were pretty fast for a first birth.

Oh - just had another one.

Again, I doubt it is anything but it will be interesting to see if it does indeed turn into something. I'm only 37wks and 2 days though.

Oh...I'm definitely not ready to call her yet. I feel like that would be just silly! It's only been happening for the past 40 mins and they aren't that strong and probably not that long. I would need to drink a bunch of water first and see if they still keep coming before I call her.

If I am in denial though and this really is it then I better not stay in denial for too long!

I'll add that with DS, I was in prodromal labor for 2 days before real labor began. And I was 4-5 minutes apart for those whole 2 days. Back then, like right now, I would really have to concentrate to know if I was having a contaction because I just don't seem to feel them like most women do.

My midwife said that I may or may not have prodromal labor like that again since this is my 2nd baby. But so far...if this is what keeps happening for a little while, it feels more like prodromal labor. Not the real thing. But then again, it didn't really feel like the real thing with DS until I actually hit transition, which still wasn't as "bad" as I would have thought it would be.

So it's nice not to have been in a lot of pain with my last labor...but it makes it hard to know when I am really in labor!

Well I'm going to get up, drink even more, and maybe shower and then see what happens. But in the last hour I have had 18 contractions. Most of them about 3 mins apart...a few of them 7mins apart.

Haven't mentioned it to DH yet. I might on the way to the shower. Or I might just wait and see what happens. I'm only 37wks and 2days. So....I just don't know. Besides, he'll just ask if I've had enough water to drink so I might as well take care of that a bit more first.

I think they may be slowing down though since drinking more water. So I should probably head to bed in case I have a baby coming tomorrow or in the next few days!

I'll check back in in a bit...and hope I have more people to obsess with! I'm sure DH doesn't want to obsess with me!

Besides...I think they are slowing down. Drinking more water probably made them slow down. I think I'm headed to bed...especially since DH just asked how late I'm staying up tonight...especially since I keep telling him to help me go to bed earlier. They are definitely not 3 mins apart anymore. But...maybe soon? Sometime this week? We'll see...

I'm not in your DDC but I've had two sept. babies, both due Sept 1st though!

I had BH contrax every 3 min for hours every night for 2 weeks before they were born. With my first I stayed up timing and woke up the next morning still pregnant LOL

As a result of that though I never realized I was in labor until quite far into it. Same thing happened with my twins and it wasn't until the contractions woke me up that I realized the BH were real contractions.

This is me and what I'm scared of. Don't be jealous, moderngal. It's frustrating as all get out! It's been nearly a week of ctx and "good signs" and nothing to show for it except I'm getting crankier.

No update really...just that I think my body needed water that night because they did certainly slow way down after that. I'm still having more BHs in the evening though - but I think that's normal. One of these days it will be the real thing though....and that's exciting!

I think its normal. I have heard it happening to others as well. Our bodies are just more worn out at night and maybe even dehydrated if we didn't drink enough during the day.
