Measles genotypes...

So I was reading in the MMWR that all of the measles cases in the current outbreak were imported. I understand that different regions have their own measles virus genotypes, and their measles vax correspond with their genotype. So here's my question: does being vaxed for one measles genotype create "immunity" to other genotypes? I ask this because it would be funny how such a big deal is being made about non-vaxers in the US being responsible for spreading measles... only for it to turn out that the US measles vax wouldn't prevent infection from an European genotype.

Yeah, all the vaccines work worldwide. The genotyping is mostly just useful for tracking the virus's epidemiology.
