So I planted lots of acorn squash and due to bugs and powdery mildew got just a few (5-8ish). I set them on the picnic table to let the skins get good and hard (but not be sitting on the ground, sos' they wouldn't rot)... and they've turned/are turning orange. Is this OK? I was always under the impression they were sposed to be green... but they're all turning orange. Are they OK to eat? Or is that a sign (like pototoes turning green), of them being bad??
