starting no poo

I have brown wavy/ curly hair and I want to no poo. I'm wondering if the ACV is going to change the color of my hair though? Has anyone experienced this? Do I have the method right - mix baking soda with water and scrub roots, mix ACV with water and pour over mainly the ends?

I have brown wavy/curly hair too. It tends to be dry. My preferred method is mixing one tablespoon baking soda with a cup of warm water. Wash with that and then rinse with plain water. No ACV.
