Ok, we moved out to the suburbs when I was pregnant with ds, but we still go into the city almost every weekend, mostly to the Met or the UWS. Does anyone have any tips about what to do when you're out and about with a new potty trainee? There are so few bathrooms--I'm sort of terrified of being caught off guard when ds (3) needs to use the bathroom. And what about playgrounds? There seem to be no bathrooms at the playgrounds in Central Park. I used to keep a mental list of available bathrooms when I lived in the city, but I'm out of practice. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Carry an emergency diaper and an empty bottle (since you have a boy).
The automatic flush toilets can be scary for little ones. If you cover the sensor (with your hand, a sticker, or a piece of duct tape), it won't flush until your dc is ready.

Let him pee behind a tree in the park.
Let him pee between two parked cars in the gutter if you're walking in the street and he has to go.
That's what my friends and i all did and we live on the upper west side (I always see other parents doing that in the city).
There are few bathrooms in Central park stragetically located sort of in the center of the park. None near the outside of the park.
the sheep meadow cafe has a outside bathroom house
near the boat house cafe (lake) has a bathroom.
Near the delacorte theater in the park. outside bathroom house
I live across the street from the park. My friends and I now walk the park with our dogs (grown kids) so I know where to eat and pee
. Everywhere is kid friendly
Kids are free to pee where ever they like in the bushes !
