Hopefully someone will chime in!
Just found this with a quick google search of "free soaker sack" : http://madquilter.blogspot.com/2007/...l-pattern.html
Obviously I haven't tried it though!
Just had another idea- it's not knitting though. You know how you can make longies with sweater sleeves from thrift store sweaters? What if you use the body part of the sweater, neck for waist- take out arms and sew them up and and turn it into a sack? You'd have to find a nice small sweater though.

There is one in the book Boho Baby knits. I haven't seen the pattern myself, but I read about it here.
There is also one at cheapknittingpatterns.com.
I've been looking around, trying to find just the right one for my wee babe too. I sewed some for my last baby, out of organic wool jersey and they were lovely! He wore them all the time. I would like ones in different sizes this time around and I thought some knitted ones would be nice.

I'm looking into these too!
here's another easy pattern- http://sh0tgun.net/blog/index.php/2007/10/27/sleepsack/
I think I'll just have to knit one of each

I just saw one in a knitting mag ... it was SUPER cute , carseat-friendly, and looked pretty easy. I can't remember which mag specifically, but all the new fall issues are out & it's in one of them!

What a great idea! I never thought of that. I don't knit though, I crochet. Does anyone know of any crochet patterns for such a thing?
