Which Toothpast is Recommended for a 2 and 3 year old

I'm looking for a good toothpaste for my kids. We were using Melaleuca, and I cancelled my membership seeing that they aren't as natural as I thought, so I need something for my kids.
Something that isn't too strong, and they have a hard time spitting, they usually swallow the toothpaste.

Also, I need a toothpast for adults.

I would like a toothpaste with no animal products or animal by-products.
Thanks,
Ana

DS loves the Weleda toothpaste for children. I love the Kiss My Face with aloe for myself!

What do you want toothpaste to do, exactly? I'm not entirely sure toothpaste is necessary to adequately clean teeth. It does give you temporary fresh breath, but so does mouthwash. The action of the toothbrush bristles is what removes plaque, not anything the toothpaste does. You stated you want natural, so I assume you mean no fluoride or excess chemicals. That's why I asked what you want it to do.

I frequently brush with no toothpaste, just use a dry brush.

ps I'm a dental hygienist, too

What do you think of using baking soda?

The toothpaste I use for my 3 yr old and 18 mo old is made daily [begun by my mom]. It consists of 2 zellies and 3 Emerald Forest Grapes crushed and mixed with a 1/2 in of Tom's of Maine Fluoride-free Strawberry for Kid's, and the children love it.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn't 'brush' the 18 mo olds teeth, but she has a hissy-fit when her brother is getting his teeth done, so...

The Xylitol keeps the acids away from their teeth, thus preventing decay and it tastes great!

Now my brother's partner says that sounds like a lot of bother to her, but it takes less then 5 minutes to do each time, and like I said, my kids go and get their toothbrushes when I start getting the toothpaste ready.

I use eco-dent tooth powder. Fine to swallow, no fluoride. I hear the lemon-lime flavor is good but we started and stuck with cinnamon.

We use Weleda infant toothpaste for our daughter. With our son I just wipe his teeth with a clean wet washcloth. The adults mostly use Parodontax, but you can't buy that in the US. So we also use Weleda salt toothpaste and Jason Sea Fresh toothpaste.
