full moon on the 15th...

Who here who has not had their baby yet, thinks that the full moon coming up on the 15th might kick them into labor? I'm due a few days after, but the way that August's full moon affected me I would not be surprised if it did! With the last full moon in August, I had a contraction every half hour from morning until I went to bed!!! I was really worried about preterm labor that day. ! Only 8 days until the 15th!

Popping in from Oct DDC - we are talking about this over there too! I'm due technically the 1st week of Oct and am curious to see if Sept's full moon has any effect on this LO! We'll see I guess!

Full moons don't seem to have any effect on any of my pregnancies, so I'm not optimistic.

*sigh* That is my DD, so knowing my luck I won't go until then

Combine the full moon with the storm that may or may not be coming our way - it totally wouldn't surprise me if she showed up sometime between the 14th and 16th

I'd REALLY like to go before then.......but I'd take the 15th too!

it's my due date too... i have kind of thought this baby would come then...
and my baby dropped last sunday (the 1st)and settled at 0 then, and it's two weeks from then...

I'm due the 11th, but have had two fashionably late dc. I would take the 15th! BUT, in all reality, the full moon has had no effect on the prior two.

OOh! Do storms have something to do with causing labor to start too? Why do they start labor? I saw a few days back that there will be scattered thunderstorms on the 14th, 15th too! Although that was a couple days ago that it was on the weather channel, so things could change by then. And I am in CA where thunderstorms are nothing compared to the middle states.

I was due on the 7th and was really hoping to have my baby before then but at this point I will take anything I can get. Both my other dc were born on half moons but this one has been bucking all the trends so who knows!

It has to do with the change in barometric pressure I believe

I'm due the 13th... so if she's late I guess it's a possibility.

Since I was due yesterday, I DO NOT want to give birth on the 15th. Plus that is my birthday. While it would be fun to share my birthday, this little one needs his own birthday.
Like today would be nice

Oh, I know that i'll either have the baby before then... or have the baby then. That's pretty much my due date, so this little one doesn't have much choice! haha. I'm hoping she'll come out before then though cus that's gonna be a busy day for my midwife i'm sure.

If I remember correctly both my dc were born around the full moon, so maybe it will work for me this time. My due date is the 14th so it would be great.

I am having so many painful cx already but I would really like to stay pg another week or week and a half. Is that weird? Especially since I fell down the stairs yesterday and am sore everywhere, although feeling better.

I can't wait to see how many of us have our babies on the full moon!

We're due the 16th...so, who knows...?! I wouldn't mind the 15th, 16th, or 17th, personally.

Is there any info out there regarding births and full moons? I seem to know nothing of this...

I am due on the 12th but I have had a feeling that I would go on th 16th (came to me in a dream). Perhaps the 15th full moon will push me into labor & I will give birth on the 16th some time!!! I would like to go earlier (over the weekend would be great) but I will take the 16th if it means not ending up being 42 wks pregnant! I can't wait to meet my little angel!

Basically it's just an old wives tale type of thing. But... hospitals are more full on full moons than any other time, and more women (that aren't induced or have c-sections) give birth during a full moon than any other time. It's just something about the pull of the moon I guess. One of those weird things.

The 15th would actually be great for me!! When Hannah hit over here, my midwife said the L & D was packed!! I know I felt like crap that day. I thought about the full moon thing too...we will see!
