Mom/Baby playgroup in North Fulton/Sandy Springs/Dunwoody??

I have a 5 month old baby and live in Sandy Springs. I was wondering if there are any playgroups for young babies in North Fulton/Sandy Springs/Dunwoody? A group that is into natural parenting would be a plus.

I'm also looking for some mom/baby groups that we could attend, aside from LLL (we've been there).

Thanks

There's an MDC North Metro playgroup that usually meets Fridays in Roswell. The thread pops up weekly

Isn't that one really for older babies / kids? It sounds more oriented to babies / kids that are mobile, etc. My baby is only 5 months. I'm mostly looking for similar-aged babies. Thanks

Our playgroup is for everyone. Actually, it started because we wanted to make friends with other mothers! But sure, it's nice for the kids to get together too. So it is not oriented toward any particular age group. We have older homeschooled kids, 3s, 1s, infants... Good luck in your search.

Thanks, Kristi I see your point. At the LLL we've been attending, there seem to be lots of older babies/toddlers/preschoolers and few young babies. I think that my baby gets overwhelmed with all the noise - and, I'm afraid to put him on the floor because he might accidentally get stepped on. So, I'm just looking for an environment that is a little easier. In what part of town do you usually meet?

Sorry to hear you're concerned. Have you mentioned this to the leader?

We have a playgroup in Dunwoody that's been meeting you might be interested in... especially since the weather is cooler, we may be meeting at the park, too. Let me know if you're interested.

take care!

Thanks. I would definitely be interested.

I have not mentioned my concern to a leader. Maybe I should.

Yes, definitely let one of them know. I'm sure it'd be helpful to know.

A few of us will be meeting at Brook Run park in Dunwoody this Thursday at about 10:00-ish... It supposed to be about 78 with partly cloudy skies.

There will hopefully be babes from a few months to a few years old. I have an 11 mo and a 3 yo. Send me a private message if you'd like to join us!

There is also Holistic Moms Network. We meet at the Sandy Springs library on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.

I can completely understand what you're saying. Just in case, I know that the room wasn't permanent, so you may want to come by once we've moved to a larger room, again. :
