OMG mama's it's the best book i've read on the topic, has given me many many ideas for keeping my home clutter free, great/fun/interesting and frugal holiday gift giving ideas, amazing strategies for saving money, etc.

Geez you'd think i wrote the book or something with these reviews LOL but seriously go check it out of your library!! I'm so inspired!

Loved this book too! I had it sitting on a shelf (unread, I must have picked up on a bargain table ) for at least 5 years and ran across it a few months ago when I was decluttering and purging my overstuffed bookcases. WOW- It really made me think and define how I wanted to live my life and shape my kids values as well. It was one of those instances while you're decluttering that you come across a treasure you didn't even know you had.

Sounds interesting. So it's not just how to declutter, more about how to change how you live? Does it have alot of religious overtones?

It isn't religious at all, if I am remembering correctly. And it isn't so much about decluttering as it is making sure your life and how you spend your time/resources is really what you want.

Awesome book. I got it from the library, then bought it, but really need to reread it and remotivate myself towards the lifestyle I really want.

This book completely changed my life. Before I read it, dh and I would constantly try to keep up with the green "Jones'" and we would buy like there was no tomorrow - but I thought it was fine because we were buying environmentally friendly items. This book changed all of that. It has great advice on clutter but also on finances. If it wasn't for this book - we wouldn't be on our way to paying our 30 year mortgage off in 10 years or less. Highly, highly recommend the book - but read it front to back to get the full effect!

Our library has it, but I couldn't find it yesterday when I was there. Instead, I checked out Choosing Simplicity by Linda Breen Pierce. So far, it's good. It's inspirational, about simplifying life in general so we can have a better quality of life.

I love this book too. I found it at a thrift store a number of years ago and I pull it out a couple of times a year to reread. I love how she touches on all different aspects of life and also shares other peoples' stories. It's a good book to own for inspiration.
